Volunteer Employer Recognition Award

Volunteer Employer Recognition Award

Our Karratha division had the honour of receiving a Volunteer Employer Recognition Award from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services.

The award acknowledges the important contribution employers and self-employed volunteers provide to the community.

CPC was nominated by employee Todd McLaren who is an active member of the Karratha Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service. Todd recognised the flexibility CPC provides for his role as construction manager to be able to respond to incidents at short notice and leave work without having to use leave entitlements.

Ben Ralph, CPC Karratha’s operations manager, said that without the support of volunteers like Todd “we wouldn’t feel as safe as we do”.

“Allowing one of our employees flexibility is the least we can do to show our appreciation to him and the 26,000 volunteer fire and rescue personnel in Western Australia.”
