Services FEED and update of Definitive Feasibility Study

CPC Engineering engaged by Evolution Energy Minerals to progress the Front End Engineering (FEED) phase of the 500kt/a Chilalo Graphite Project in Southeast Tanzania. Included in the scope of work was updating the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) deliverables to reflect the optimized mine and process plant design.

CPC ‘s scope included full services to update the DFS level engineering design and deliverables to support the development of a Class 3 capital cost estimate to AACE 18R-87 standard and equivalent level of operating cost estimate and project scheduling.  Additional specific FEED deliverables were developed to ensure that the Project was in a state of readiness pending approval of the Company’s Final Investment Decision.

The 500kt/a processing facility is designed to produce 50kt/a of graphite concentrate grading a minimum of 95% TGC into 5 saleable size fractions.

The process facility design consists of 2 stage crushing, milling, various stages of flotation, regrind/polishing, concentrate filtration, drying, dry screening into size fractions, bagging and storage, tailing disposal, reagents and plant services.
