Syrah Resources, Balama Graphite Project
CPC assisted Syrah Resources with the development of their Balama Graphite Project in Mozambique. CPC completed detailed engineering, procurement, construction support and commissioning services for the project.
The processing facility at Balama will produce a dry graphite concentrate that is bagged and trucked off site. Six size fractions will be produced at the Balama concentrator for shipment. The process facility will treat a nominal feed throughput of 2 Mt/y, for an approximate maximum production of 370,000 t/y of graphite concentrate. Figure 63 shows the CPC produced 3D model of the project during the design phase of the project and the subsequent completion of construction.
