CPC were awarded the contract to construct several plant areas within West Circuit 1 at the Lynas Corporation Kalgoorlie Rare Earths Processing Facility.
The scope of work included the construction of three sections of the process plant, including the reagents area. CPC held responsibility for structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) works, together with structural steel supply and erection, platework supply and erection, mechanical equipment installation, piping supply and installation, and electrical and instrumentation supply and installation. Large sections of the piping installation and electrical works were subcontracted.
CPC’s in-house engineering design division supplemented the construction team by completing the detailed design of components designated as part of the contractor’s responsibility.
CPC also provided commissioning labour to the Lynas Project Team.
