Pebble Crusher Installation

Located 900km north east of Perth in Western Australia, the Degrussa Copper-Gold Mine is one of the highest grade mines in the Asia-Pacific region. The mine produces up to 300,000 tonnes of high grade copper concentrate annually. The processing facility comprises of crushing, milling, flotation, concentrate thickening, filtration and paste production of the plant tailing.
CPC Project Design was engaged by Sandfire Resources for the fabrication and site construction of a pebble crushing circuit to process SAG mill oversize material. The scope of work included:
- Removal of redundant scat return conveyors and associated transfer towers
- Civil construction works
- Fabrication and installation of structural steel and plate work
- Mechanical installation of new scat return conveyors 1 and 2
- Mechanical installation of new Sandvik CH440 cone crusher
- Mechanical installation of a new self-cleaning magnet
- Design and construction of a concrete scats bunker
- Design, fabrication and installation of piping associated with the facility
