CPC engaged a Joint Venture Partnership (JVP) for the EPC delivery of the CIL circuit to the Evolution Cowal Gold Operation (CGO) in NSW. The construction part of this project included lifting a 70 metres long structure, 117 tonnes to the top of completed tanks. The ground assemble structure is loaded with pipe, grid mesh, handrail and cables.
CPC General Manager Project Design, Rod Davies, acknowledged the outstanding effort from all of the team, “If we continue to make safety our priority and perform the work in accordance with our systems and procedures, we will always get the best outcome”.
The scope of work for CGO included:
• Installation of a new leach circuit to treat flotation tails and detoxification of this stream before pumping to the tails storage facility
• Installation of new carbon handling and electrowinning facilities to treat the gold recovered from flotation tails leach circuit
• Installation of new reagent mixing, and distribution systems needed for the operation of the leach circuit, detoxification facilities and carbon handling facilities
