CV01 Magnet and Transfer Tower Installation

Located 900km north east of Perth in Western Australia, the Degrussa Copper-Gold Mine is one of the highest grade mines in the Asia-Pacific region. The mine produces up to 300,000 tonnes of high grade copper concentrate annually. The processing facility comprises of crushing, milling, flotation, concentrate thickening, filtration and paste production of the plant tailing.
CPC Project Design was engaged by Sandfire Resources for the fabrication and site construction of a new transfer tower between crushed ore conveyors CV01 and CV02. The scope included:
- Fabrication of structural steel and plate work
- Erection of structural steel
- Installation of plate work, new CV01 head pulley and new self-cleaning magnet
- Design and construction of a concrete scats bunker
