• Cowal Gold Operations – EPC Contract Award

    In May this year, CPC Project Design (CPC) formed a strategic Joint Venture (JV) partnership with ECM named Mineral Process Engineering & Construction (MPEC). Evolution Mining has recently awarded MPEC the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contract to design, construct and commission the Flot Tail Leach Project at the company’s Cowal Gold Operations in NSW.


  • CPC Engineering Video Post: Conveyor Skirt Innovation

    CPC Engineering is demonstrating the latest innovation in skirting maintenance, the TRAC Skirt removable skirting system. The TRAC Skirt* is the only system that allows for easy removal of the entire skirt panel. The panel shown is a 2.4m long section weighing over 400kg. Removal of an individual panel takes less than 10 minutes (the replacement is just as quick). Once out, the panel is easily rolled along the length of the conveyor to a location, or locations, specifically set up for removal.

    CPC Project Design has completed the Process Plant Design & Cost Estimate, Power Plant Design & Cost Estimate, Rothsay Gold Project Prefeasibility Study, as announced by Egan Street Resources report. CPC is proud to work with Egan Street on this Australian Gold Project.

  • Shutdown Safety Excellence Award

    Congratulations to CPC Pilbara branch for receiving the Shutdown Safety Excellence Award in recognition of outstanding safety performance from FMG.

    Bevan Poulson (Mechanical Supervisor) and Bob Winn (OHSE Manager) would like to thank everyone involved in the last shut and all the planning and hard work leading up to the shut. A great effort considering there were 620 people involved with that shutdown and CPC took home the goods. We still continue to maintain our standards and show that we are the contractor of choice.

  • CPC Engineering studies feasibility of Macraes gold/tungsten in New Zealand

    CPC Engineering has been appointed by ASX listed Oceana Gold (New Zealand) Ltd to complete the metallurgy and process plant component of the feasibility study for the Macraes gold-tungsten project. The Macraes operation is New Zealand’s largest gold mine and is located 100 km by road north of Dunedin in the Otago region of the South Island. The complex comprises two mines, Macraes open pit – which has been operating since 1990, and the Frasers underground mine which was commissioned in early 2008.

    Perth based CPC Engineering has been appointed by ASX listed Syrah Resources Ltd (ASX: SYR) (“Syrah” or “the Company”) to complete the Front End Engineering Design on the Balama Graphite and Vanadium Project in Mozambique.

    Great effort by everyone involved in the Royal Flying Doctors Service (RFDS) Swim Thru event held in Kalgoorlie over the weekend.  Ernie Williams from CPC Engineering’s Kalgoorlie division proudly presented The CPC Engineering’s Highest Fundraisers’ Award to the Piranhas swim team who raised $7,560.00.
